However, you can have VSTi support still, and as with GuitarRig it is a very useful thing - even without MIDI. Adobe is very clear that Audition is not and will not develop into a MIDI capable system, and that's fair enough. How they could choose to ignore this is beyond me, but if you read the official Adobe user-to-user forum where some beta-testers recide, it is a conservative bunch afraid of adding 'too many features' (sic!) that defends this. 99% of all serious audio programs supports VSTi now, Adobe Audition being the big exception. In standalone mode GuitarRig use ASIO, where you can't use 'what U hear' or 'Virtual cables', and Audition won't allow a soundcard output being routed back as an input. Click to expand.No!
